As of today, Lafayette Web has officially launched, meaning we have made it to the web! The website is not complete yet but in the coming months we will get there.

Several months ago I was looking around town to "connect" with some other web developing companies and I could only find one was in Lafayette. I did later find others but I had to really search them out. Unfortunately that one company I found went out of business within a few weeks of reaching out to "connect" with them. I was quite surprised.

I have been doing web based work since 1995, shortly after the web got started. About a year ago I began doing web development work for small business owners instead of developing websites (mostly e-Commerce) for myself. I soon found a real passion and enjoyed working with people more than code. Since then I and a small team of others have been developing websites locally and elsewhere. After hearing about one local company going out of business I decided to launch Lafayette Web to help fill the gap.

Many small business owners (we are a smart group after all) are fully capable of building a respectable website that can sustain and drive business - if they had the time. There is a lot of thought, planning, testing, and follow through that goes into building a website that helps your bottom line & creates a better image for your company. Most small business owners just want to run their business, which is what they are good at. They don't have the time to learn new things and get it done right the first time. That is where we come in!
